Hi, I’m Samantha S. Woo, how are you?

Maybe you end your day anxious & restless even after putting in so much. And when you are met with loved ones waiting for you to “show up”, you continue to power through your own tension (maybe even put in hours of exercise routine or rigorous sport) to just deal with the stress… or numb it down with some little routine or habit that gives you temporary comfort…. or stuff it all down until your feel knots in your shoulders.

I get it. I know how it feels to care to the point of worry. It can hurt. As a mom, wife, daughter, and sibling of people who chose demanding paths where so much is expected, I see and live firsthand, what goes into just getting through a day. But I have learned that it doesn’t have to feel so stressful. Life can be so much lighter. This is why I became a therapist and coach: to help people see they do not have to swirl in restlessness and uncertainty… to help people see that the outside roles, institutions, and expectations do not have to dictate their anxiety… to help people see there is so much more to them and their stories. And that their stories are not over. It is just the beginning.

There is hope for peaceful change!

You can recover a more balanced life and well-being. Giving yourself the space to reach out to be heard and seen can make a big difference in bringing harmony and balance to your life.

Clinical Approach

Here, you will be welcomed as you are: unique and deserving of quality care, as if you were the only client.  Parts of you that struggle do not define who you are as a whole.  You will see this in our work together, as we see how your internal parts are beautifully woven together in an Internal Family System (IFS), that you can begin to understand and lead in a compassionate, courageous way. As we work together in this safe therapeutic or coaching space, you can have hope for change (only as you are comfortable) as you move toward a balanced life with compassionate courage.

Theoretical Foundations

For those who are familiar with therapy approaches, I am a Certified IFS Therapist and mostly use IFS (Internal Family Systems) model, because of its non-pathologizing, non-shaming, client-focused approach. I integrate the theoretical foundation of Psychodynamic/ Object Relations/Attachment perspectives which provide a deeper understanding and nuance of the human experience, which keeps the therapy relational, holistic, and less technical. I also integrate holistic, somatic, Gestalt practices, all with a trauma-informed, gentle approach that bring results. These clinical foundations also help in Coaching work where guidance does not have to be shaming you to action. Decision and Action can come from a deeper place where all parts of you are aligned and on-board, where the tug-of-war inside has been addressed.

Outcomes

Both past and present clients report feeling more at peace with themselves, in their relationships, as well as growth in their careers. People have reported promotions in their work, more earnings, and more peace and balance in their relationships.
